Barmah-Millewa is the world’s largest river red gum forest
and an internationally recognised wetland crucial to the health
of the River Murray.
Friends of the Earth’s Barmah-Millewa campaign aims to eliminate
the threats of logging and grazing from the forest, and support
the Yorta Yorta traditional owners to have a real say in its management
through the creation of Victoria’s first Aboriginal-Owned
National Park.
We are also working with other Traditional Owner Nations along
the Murray River towards environmentally sustainable land justice
outcomes.
Your donation today will help us protect Victoria's last
remaining red gum forests and wetlands and achieve real justice
for the Indigenous Traditional Owners.
